My heartfelt condolences, Charles, to you and your family during this time. The loss of a loved one is never easy, no matter what age. Your mother was lucky that she could be cared for at home and that she could also leave this physical world at home.
And maybe - who knows - there will be a reunion sometime, in whatever way.

For most people the question is rather "Is there a life before death".
May more people get that age as your Mother got.
If there would not be a life after death, finally passing away would be a big deal.
But because there is a life after death - its not a big deal.
